Are you wondering how to prepare your home for spring? Here is a home spring maintenance checklist, which includes our top tips on how to get your home ready for the most glorious months of the year!

Spring is here and it’s high time to spruce up the home and garden. A little spring cleaning can go a long way.

Home Spring Maintenance Checklist

1. Clean The House

Wash your house and make it look freshly painted. In addition to the house regaining its luster, the facade feels better if it is cleaned regularly

House cleaning is usually recommended every two years to reduce the risk of algae and mold on the facade.

Remember to use eco-labeled detergent or soap since not all cleaning products are suitable for nature.

2. Wash The Patio

wash the patio

Before the outdoor season, many people want to clean the terrace, patio, or deck. With the weather becoming warm and the sun shining, everyone wants to be outside.

The easiest way to do this is to use a water hose or high-pressure washer. High-pressure washing effectively removes dirt but can damage the wood if the nozzle is kept too close to the planks, so make sure to be careful when cleaning. You can always contact a professional if you are worried.

If you want to be a little more careful, a garden hose works great. If you have dirt and algae, you can use a little vinegar with water to help remove it from your patio

Mix the vinegar with a few drops of detergent, and water, and start scrubbing. Rinse with water and you will have a nice and clean terrace, patio, or deck!

Does it feel too difficult to wash the patio yourself? You can use SkilledHub’s Task Portal to find companies that can help you clean the facade.

3. Get The Garden Ready

get the garden ready

With spring on the way, it is time to start preparing for the upcoming planting season.

Whether you are looking to have a vegetable garden or a luscious flower showing or maybe both, it is time to start prepping for planting time.

Make sure to buy or order all of your seeds and/or bulbs for the gardens. Some seeds may need to start germinating, so you will need to prepare a space in your home and purchase all necessary items to get the process started.

If you are going to start growing the plants inside before planting them in your gardens, make sure to label them so you know what they are when you transfer them outside.

Clean Up The Winter Blues…Pun Intended..

When the sun’s rays find their way in, we suddenly discover that the dark colors indoors no longer work.

Then the solution may be to repaint the rooms in a light color that creates a positive feeling.

You can also look to add decorative pillows in lovely pastels or buy a bouquet of beautiful tulips. Your house will get a fresh and wonderful spring feeling immediately!

We hope you follow the tips mentioned in the above spring home maintenance checklist to get yourself ready for April.
